Mission
The David Lynch Foundation Switzerland pursues primarily educational and humanitarian goals. It seeks to contribute to the improvement of public health and social well-being through the application and promotion of scientifically validated consciousness technologies, in particular programs of Transcendental Meditation. These techniques are intended to enable individuals and organizations to overcome stress-related health problems and to develop both physical and psychological resilience.
A central aspect of its work is to foster the development of consciousness in order to support inner peace and personal growth as well as to enhance creativity and intelligence. In line with Switzerland’s tradition of humanitarian aid and peace promotion, it is the Foundation’s intention to support local and international projects that generate coherence, harmony, and peace in society, thereby contributing to the prevention of conflict and violence and to economic growth.
The Foundation may carry out all promotional and operational activities that fall within the scope of its purpose or are materially related to it. It may collaborate with, establish, and support other organizations, institutions, and third parties.
The Foundation is politically and religiously neutral and works exclusively in the public interest. It pursues neither commercial, self-help, nor religious purposes. The Foundation’s income and capital are dedicated solely to the aforementioned purpose. It fulfills its mission both in Switzerland and abroad.
In terms of governance and management, the Foundation will rely on reference standards that recommend best practices, such as the Swiss Foundation Code.
